Summer has arrived. And, here are the details of some camps you can check out for your children.
* SAI coaching camps: Sports Authority of India, South Centre, Kengeri, will be conducting coaching camps from April 1 to May 31 in athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, football, hockey, swimming, tennis, kabaddi, kho kho, taekwondo, table tennis and volleyball. * Cricket camp: Young Cricketers will be organising their annual cricket coaching camp at the Corporation Stadium, Jayanagar 3rd block, from April 3 to May 19. For details, call 9845813914.

* Self-realisation camp: The Center for Self Realisation, Sridhara Sri Gudda, Kengeri is organising a five-day residential Summer camp for children in the ashram. The special feature of the summer camp is that Gurumatha Amma will stay with the children. This summer camp will help children to develop their personality while they have fun learning dance, music, meditation, drama, etc. Jewellery making, clay modeling, gardening, personality development, memory improving methods, confidence building techniques, facing the stage, etc will be the main highlights of this residential summer camp where parents are allowed to just drop off the kids on day one and are only later allowed on day 5. * Leadership: Thinkers is organising summer camp-013 with the theme ‘Expand your Horizons’. This camp will include a fun holiday for children with field trips. There will be leadership programmes conducted for children which will give insights, exposure and hands on experience.
This camp will cater to between the age group of 6 to 12 years. The camp will start in the first week of April and continue the whole month, from 10 am to 1 pm. The cost of the camp will be `2,800 per week.
Week one and Week three the children will be taken to visit a radio channel, followed by interactive sessions, visit to an art gallery and children’s movie.
On week two and week four — Gadget guru — visit to a high end ‘smart’ home will be held. As far as day trips are concerned, the children will be exposed to farming culture of this country where the children will become a farmer for a day with farmer John. For details contact 9663400443.
