When it’s hot, you need everything to suit the weather - your clothes, the shoes and, importantly, the hairdo. The idea is to be at your cool and comfortable best, at all times. How then is an elaborate hairstyle with the tresses all flowing going to help. You will only end up with a limp mop, a hot head and absolutely no style. Your option is a ponytail.
In case you thought pulling your hair through a scrunchie is all you can do, here’s news for you. Try these variations this summer. They are easy to do styles and will up your glam quotient instantly. Cute hair bands and floral hair accessories will accentuate the feminine aspect of your look.
The butterfly ponytail
Tie your hair at the nape of your neck. Split the hair into two sections just above the band and make a gap. Pull the body of your ponytail through the gap and you have a butterfly ponytail. This might take a little bit of practise to perfect but when done properly it gives a simple but elegant look.
Rolled ponytail
Divide your hair into two sections vertically. In one section, starting from the forehead, twist a lock of hair, keeping it close to the scalp. As you progress down the length of your hair keep adding strands.
Once you have twisted all the locks
framing your face on one side, clip the twisted locks together and start with the other section. Once finished, gather all the twisted locks along with the rest of your hair and tie into a ponytail. Be careful while tying your hair because the twisted locks tend to unravel themselves.
Side sweep ponytail
This kind of ponytail works best for curly or wavy hair. Comb your hair to the side you want the ponytail on. From the opposite side twist a lock of hair all the way to your ponytail side. Twist three locks in similar fashion and clip them up. From your ponytail side, twist a lock of hair keeping it close to the scalp.
As you progress, twist into the lock all the hair which immediately frames your face. Gather the four locks of twisted hair along with the rest of your hair and tie with a band.
