We can't stop the deal

Express News Service

Our Chamber has received a letter from a few single-screen theatres owners who are opting for demolition. I am glad that they have taken the call to renovate. This will only lead to better technology and good cinema viewing. The speculation is also that these owners will now want to have two single theatres with a capacity of 500 each within a complex. This, in a way,  will help them to release more films. At present, we are not sure whether they will concentrate on the complex and come up with a mini-theatre only. We can’t stop the deal. This area consists of a floating population from railway stations and bus stands and it is better that they go in for two or four screen theatres within a complex. It is only a matter of time. Definitely movie watching will be a pleasure for the audience in future. My only request to these theatre owners is to include good screens and parking facilities while they go in for a commercial building.
