Bangalore University will confer an honorary doctorate degree on Biocon CMD Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and five others at its 49th convocation scheduled to be held May 20.
Official sources confirmed that Governor H R Bhardwaj has approved a proposal to confer honorary degrees on Rajajinagar Parents' Education Society secretary G B Paramashivaiah, educationist B T Lakshman, journalist P Ramaiah, music director Hamsalekha and former MLC S S Arkere.
