Notorious Rowdy Sheeter Dead

BENGALURU:  Brigade Azam, a rowdy sheeter who had once shared the dais with ministers K J George and Roshan Baig along with the Congress candidate for the Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha constituency, died of a heart attack in a private hospital here on Friday.

Brigade Azam had been imprisoned under the Goonda Act and was released recently. A resident of Frazer Town, Azam is an accused in over 15 cases ranging from extortion and threat to life to possession of an unlicenced country-made revolver.

He was also involved in many real estate deals and was close to some influential politicians.
