Shree Bangarpet PaniPuri

As the name itself suggests its famous for its pani puri.The pani served here has a unique flavour and taste. The shop can be found opposite KLE Society and MES Vidyasagar College, Rajajinagar. “I don't ever pass this place without checking the pani puri. The pani is very tasty. The food served is also uniformly good and hygienic,” says Jyothi Priya, a student of KLE College. The shop has a pocket-friendly menu with prices ranging from Rs 15 to Rs 30.  Cucumber Masala, Dahi Boondi Masala, Floating Pani Puri and Tikki Puri are a hit.

Delhi Darbar Restaurant

Delhi Darbar serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. The chhola bhaturas and paranthas served here are the best. “I love what is served here. The food is excellent and I came here as my seniors and lecturers recommended it,” says Brunda, a student of Acharya College. The place is usually packed with Acharya's students and faculty members.  The food served here is inexpensive and filling. A meal for two costs as little as Rs 100. A wide range of parantha stuffings include potato, onion, paneer and more. If you prefer having a non-vegetarian meal, there is a big menu to try out with dishes like Chicken Mughlai, French Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Rasaa, etc. Delhi Darbar Restaurant is opposite Acharya College, Hesaragatta.

Gullu's ChaAt

This is a favorite eating joint of students of Seshadripuram College.

Gullu's Chaat has a wide range of pastries and chaats. The dahi puri and masala puri variations, samosa chaat and pani puri top the list of favourites. As it is close to colleges, students come here to spend time with their friends. “It’s quite a peaceful place, with many varieties of lip-smacking chaats to choose from,” says Kuldeep M Kothari, a student of Seshadripuram College. The chaats range from Rs 25 to Rs 50. The pav bhaji, kachori chaat, dahi papdi chaat and the tava pulav are hot favourites.

Sri Ganesh Fast Food

The food here will leave your taste buds tingling and this is the favorite eat out of the students and faculty members of St Joseph’s College, Shantinagar. The joint serves a complete menu of breakfast, lunch, chaats, snacks and beverages. “I mostly come here for paranthas and manchurian preparations. Affordable prices and good hospitality bring us here,” says Banu Priya, a student of St.Joseph’s College.  Families come here as do young students and professionals. Sri Ganesh Fast Food is famous for paranthas and different kinds of dosas like the Spring Roll Dosa, Open Dosa, Set Dosa, Masala Dosa and many more.

Sai Ram’s Chaat and Juice Center

If you are bored of usual chaats and want to try something different, check out Sai Ram’s. It’s a small shop located near 15th Cross, Malleswaram. The menu here will surely surprise you, with varieties of chaat. 100 to be exact. Hong Kong Chaat, Ting Tong Chaat, Kiss Masala, Disco Chaat, Dahi Masala, Sai Ram’s Special, Bowl Masala, Bun Nippat Masala are some of the zany varities. Beverages include cold coffee and Coke Masalapriced at just Rs 30. Fresh juices and milkshakes are also available here. A bunch of college students are always busy savouring the tasty chaat. E.Anil, a student of Seshadripuram College, who comes here with friends, says, “We visit Sai Ram’s regularly. The prices here are reasonable and I like to have Bowl Masala, Crazy Chat and Coke Masala which are very tasty.”
