Sanchari Vijay Bags State Best Actor Award

BENGALURU:  Sanchari Vijay and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy have walked away with the top honours in the Karnataka State Film Awards. The awards for 2014 were announced on Friday by Minister for Information Roshan Baig in Bengaluru at a press conference.

Vijay has bagged the Best Actor award  for his role as a transgender in Nanu Avanalla Avalu. Last year, the role won Vijay the National award for Best Actor.

Lakshmi was selected as Best Actress for Vidaaya. Director Rakshit Shetty bagged the best debut director award for his film Ulidavaru Kandante. Harivu was picked as the first Best Film.
