BENGALURU: A 22-year-old student of a private college on Thursday filed a case of assault against his house owner and alleged he was forced to lick the man’s shoe for using excessive water.

A senior police officer said Higio Guntey, a fourth-semester student of a private college and a native of Arunachal Pradesh, stated in his complaint that he was staying as a tenant in the house of Hemanth Kumar, an advocate. On Monday, he approached the police alleging he was forced to lick Hemanth’s shoe for using excessive water. A case was registered against Hemanth and he surrendered.

Meanwhile, Hemanth Kumar claimed that Guntey and two of his friends stayed at the house. Hemanth got into a fight with Guntey over inviting friends to the house at night. Police said Hemanth slapped Guntey, when the latter started arguing with him. An investigation is on.
