BENGALURU: A large group of goons vandalised the Alliance University campus, when they pelted stones at its faculty and staff on Monday evening. Some of the goons were armed with weapons. They attacked security guards and wardens also. The university has an ongoing ownership dispute between brothers Sudhir and Madhukar Angur already. Former chancellor Madhukar evicted some faculty members and there was chaos on the campus.

The housekeeping staff who had been removed, protested and later entered the campus along with the goons. Shaila Chebbi, director of the institute, said, they had an injunction order against Madhukar to prevent him from entering the campus. Chebbi said, “There were more than 200 goons and all of them seemed to be drunk. They broke the windshield of my car as I was trying to leave the campus through another gate. Everyone was scared and we were hiding until the police came.”
