BENGALURU: The BDA has finished construction of an underpass at Hennur junction on Outer Ring Road and will start construction of a flyover along Hennur Main Road, which is expected to be finished by November this year.

In a release BDA said the underpass, built at a cost of Rs 51.42 crore, is open to traffic.

During execution of the flyover work along Hennur Main Road, local residents requested to extend the flyover beyond 4th Cross of HBR Layout for the convenience of BMTC buses plying in and out of the depot. In view of this, the extension of flyover was taken up at an additional cost of Rs 32 crore.

The construction work was delayed due to power cables which were obstructing the ramp work towards Hennur side. The flyover is expected to be completed by November this year.

Land was needed to be acquired from 31 properties for the flyover project, which included 25 structures. Out of 31 properties, 29 have been acquired by paying the compensation for both land and structures as per guidelines. The land acquisition process was delayed due to the new Land Acquisition Act which came into effect in 2013.
