BENGALURU: A 28-year-old woman hanged herself to death after strangling her two daughters at their house in Nelamangala on Wednesday evening. The reason which led her to take this extreme step is yet to be ascertained. She wrote on the wall 'I am sorry and miss my husband'. Police are questioning her husband for further investigation.

The deceased are identified as Radha, wife of Srinivas and their daughters— Chinmayi (3) and Bindu (2). They were staying in Tippagondanahalli in Nelamangala rural.

A senior police officer said that the couple had married six years ago. On Wednesday evening, Srinivas, who works in a hardware shop, returned home and knocked the door. When there was no response, he broke open the door with the help of his neighbours and found the three bodies. He immediately called her mother. Nelamangala rural police rushed to the spot.

"Radha's parents told us that Radha was suffering from appendicitis and had a surgery recently. She was still having unbearable pain and was worried that who would take care of her kids if she died," the officer said. Based on statements from Srinivas and Radha's parents, it prima facie appears that her health issue might have led her to end life.

Radha's relative Murthy told TNIE "The couple had no issues and Srinivas was taking proper care of Radha. She had come to her mother's house in Kacharahalli a week ago. She seemed normal and her two elder sisters had asked her not to worry too much about health condition".
