CHENNAI: The Perunthalaivar Makkal Katchi, formed by the Nadar community organisations on March 7, which elected actor Sarathkumar as their  president, ‘expelled’ him from the post on March 10. The announcement came hours after Sarathkumar signed a seat-sharing agreement with the Jayalalithaa. A press release said Sarathkumar had unilaterally decided to align with the AIADMK without taking them into confidence. Sarathkumar rubbished his ‘expulsion’ and told Express that when the organisations invited him for a meet on March 7, he attended it thinking that it would bring together the community.
