CHENNAI: A free coaching camp to train Muslim students to crack the civil services examination is being conducted in the city by Azhagiya Kadan Arakkattalai. The centre is Chennai-based and in affiliation with Saidai S Duraisamy’s Manithaneyam IAS coaching centre. The programme was started with the aim of boosting the participation of members from the Islamic Community in public affairs.

“The percentage of muslim Civil service officers is very less compared to their population. This is due to a lack of awareness and facilities. Azhagiya Kadan IAS coaching centre has been started with the aim of spreading awareness among muslims about civil services and also to provide coaching, boarding and food for muslim students for free,” said Founder-Chairman, Moulana Shamsudeen Qasimi — chief imam of Makkah Masjid, Chennai and Founder-chairman of Azhagiya Kadan Arakkattalai. The entrance examination for the first batch of students will be conducted on Jan 26 at Manithaneyam IAS coaching centre’s Anna Nagar centre.

Interested students can apply online at http://azhagiyakadanias.com. Registered students should be present at the venue on or before 8.30am on Jan 26.
