Fortis Malar appoints new orthopaedic chief

Fortis Malar Hospital announced the appointment of Dr A B Govindaraj as Chief of Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement surgeon. Dr Govindaraj  has a career spanning over 28 years including eight years of training under some of the best medical professionals from reputed healthcare institutes across the globe.

After completing Ahis undergraduate medical training from Thanjavur Medical College, Dr Govindarajan moved to the United Kingdom to train arthroscopic surgery as well as total knee and hip replacement from King George Hospital. He is also the recipient of the prestigious fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and the diploma of FRCS from the Glasgow Royal College.

Dr Govindarajan has about two decades of intensive surgical experience in joint replacement surgeries in India. Recognised for his expertise in joint replacement procedures including knee, shoulder and hip replacement; Dr. Govindaraj is skilled in both Adult and Paediatric Orthopaedic surgeries.
