The 20th death anniversary of the famous actor and Deputy Minister, Isari Velan who served under the then ministry of MGR, was commemorated during the second annual day of Isari Velan Mission hospital at Venkateswara Dental hospital in Thazhambur.
The function was presided over by Dr J S Rajkumar, Administrative Director of Lifeline hospital. Actor Radharavi and producer K Rajan gave a moving speech about Isari Velan’s contribution to the film industry. Several others remebered the sterling contribution that he had made to several people and touched their lives, in some way or the other.
The family members of Maragatham Ammal from Aathur (Salem district) donated `1 lakh to the hospital in her remembrance.
