She is said to have the voice of a nightingale and he was nothing short of a phenomenon, whose yodel made him an eternal favourite. Satrangi’s music event Hum Aur Tum —Tum Aur Hum will feature the popular duets of Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar.

Pramod Nair, the founder of the group and Priyanka Singh, a popular stage performer from Mumbai will present some of their immortal numbers. The romantic duets will be from films like Guide, Tere Mere Sapne, Jewel Thief, Aradhana, Aap Ki Kasam, Abhimaan, Ghar and Kabhie Kabhie.

With the song list comprising composers like S D Burman, R D Burman, Rajesh Roshan and Khayyam, the show hopes to bring back the days of yore with the trademark flamboyance of Kishore and the mysterious magic of Lata.

Nair says, “We did a Kishore-Asha show a few months ago and right then, we decided we must stage a show that combined Kishore and Lata numbers. The remarkable thing about Lata’s duets with Kishore is that they are melodious and soulful.”

Nair also adds that while there will be popular numbers, Hum Aur Tum will showcase a few songs that are rarely presented on stage.

He says, “While there is a good mix of film composers from SDB to Rajesh Roshan, the show will predominantly see SDB and RDB numbers. These are a combination of both popular and rare numbers.

Tickets for the event are priced at `750, `500, `300 and `200 and will be delivered on calling 9884778073.

Hum Aur Tum — Tum Aur Hum will be held on  Saturday May 3 at  the Rajarathinam Auditorium, RA Puram, from  6.30pm.
