IIT-M inks moU with Technip

CHENNAI: Technip in India and Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, to establish broad partnership in areas, including research collaborations with the ocean, civil and metallurgical and materials engineering departments.

The other areas of collaboration include, creation of a postgraduate program with focus on generic engineering, lectures by faculty and industry practitioners, continuing PG education for technical professionals, placement and internships for IIT-M graduates and students, and various sponsorship opportunities in the context of research enhancement and CSR.

The MOU was signed in the presence of Philippe Barril, president & COO, Technip. The signatories were Prof Nagarajan (Dean, International & Alumni Relations) on behalf of IIT-M, and. Samik Mukherjee, Country Head & MD on behalf of Technip in India.

K Shanker, Director Onshore Business and  D Manohar Devadoss, Sr VP Operations, were witnesses from Technip, while Harikumar and Anantha Subramanian represented IIT-Madras. R Jayasanakaran, COO, Chennai Center, participated.
