NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday moved the Delhi High Court in response to the earlier order by the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal regarding reimbursement of Rs 97 crore from the party spent on advertisements.

In a one if its kind moves the Information and broadcasting department of Delhi served a notice to its own Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for violating norms.

AAP has also sought setting aside of a report of a three member committee which ruled in the report that the Delhi government had splurged exchequer’s money on advertisements projecting Kejriwal and his party in violation of Supreme Court guidelines.

The committee’s order of September 16 last year had said that the AAP should be made to reimburse the expenditure for the violation of the apex court’s May 13, 2015 order on a complaint from Congress leader Ajay Maken accusing the AAP government in Delhi of splurging public money on advertisements.
