NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Saturday that he and other AAP leaders would go to the BJP headquarters on March 19 "so that the prime minister can send anyone he wants to jail". The AAP chief was responding to the arrest of his private secretary.
"Today, they have arrested my PA. Now they are saying they will arrest Raghav Chadha, who has just returned from London. In some time, they are saying, they will arrest Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi," Kejriwal said.
In a televised address he announced that he will visit the BJP headquarters on Sunday along with all his MLAs and MPs. "You can put in jail whoever you want...," the CM underlined.
"The AAP is an idea. For as many AAP leaders you jail, the country would produce leaders a hundred times more," Kejriwal said.
He claimed that the AAP's "fault" was that its government in Delhi built good schools, set up Mohalla Clinics, provided free treatment and ensured free round-the-clock power supply in the city which the BJP could not do.
The BJP, too, immediately responded to CM's address, and asked him to stop the "drama" and say something on the alleged assault that happened with Maliwal.
"Stop doing this drama. You used to call Maliwal as 'Jhansi ki Rani', she was beaten at your residence, it has been six days, and you have not uttered a single word for your sister," Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said.
Meanwhile, adding steam to the assault controversy, a report from the AIIMS, where Maliwal underwent medical examination on May 16, indicated that she has suffered bruises on her left thigh and right cheek, below the eye. Pertinently, Maliwal had alleged that she was slapped at least 7-8 times by Bibhav Kumar.
Earlier in the day, a new CCTV footage had also surfaced on social media in which Maliwal could be seen leaving the CM residence escorted by female security staff, giving a new twist to assault saga.
