HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority is planning to develop three more radial roads for better connectivity to the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and facilitate smooth flow of traffic.

A few days ago, the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited, a joint venture of HMDA and Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh invited tenders from eligible bidders for construction of three more radial roads. They include radial road no. 11 from Jeedimetla to Saregudem, radial road no. 16 from ECIL crossroads to Cherial crossroads and radial road no. 22 from Nagole Junction to Gourelly crossroads. The last date for submitting bids is September 22.

HMDA officials said construction of the roads will be taken up with funds being provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project will enable access from different inner ring roads to the ORR and also strengthen and widen existing stretches, equip them with central medians and take up beautification works to develop these connecting roads.
