The retail jewelers across India are adding to the ‘Gold Buying’ fervor by introducing new collections and designs to commemorate the occasion of buying gold and wearing it. In addition, through a unique initiative by the World Gold Council, 700 post offices across the country are now offering investors exclusive Swiss made gold coins, along with special schemes such as, consumers who buy a 10 gram gold coin will get a 0.5 grams gold coin absolutely free.

Lepakshi gold coin sale!

Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation (APHDC) launched sale of gold coins at its Lepakshi showrooms on the occasion of the upcoming Akshaya Thrithiya. The coins, touted as being made up of purest gold with a purity of 999.9, will be available only at two Lepakshi showrooms in Musheerabad and Gunfoundary. The gold coins are available in 0.5 gm, 1 gm, 2 gm and 5 gm and would be sold according to the prescribed rates of Government of India, authorities said.  The 0.5 gm gold coin will be available for `1265, 1 gm gold coin for `2500, 2 gm coin for `4965 and 5 gm coin will be available for `12,380, 8 gm coin for `18,270, 10 gm for `24,530 and 20 gm coin is available for `48,810.
