HYDERABAD: Three mobile phone store owners were nabbed for downloading porn clips into mobile phones in the Old City on Monday. South Zone's Task Force sleuths conducted raids on mobile phone stores as part of their drive to curb downloading of obscene films into mobile phones and nabbed the trio.
The accused have been downloading pornographic content into mobile phones of teenagers and students who are regular customers to their stores, police officials said.
The nabbed persons are Syed Irfan who runs Siraj Communications in the Old City, N Santosh Kumar who runs Friends Communications at Lal Darwaza and Syed Shabbir Ali who owns Counter No.1 in GRC Mobile Bazar in Charminar.
Task Force additional DCP Suhas Chaturvedi said that the accused have been downloading porn content into phones of known customers since past three months.
Police recovered two computers, one laptop, three card readers, three adapters and six memory cards used in downloading porn clips and also seized cash from them.
