HYDERABAD: Sreenidhi International School organised a youth leadership program for the young office bearers of   their Gavel club, the first club of its kind to be started in Andhra Pradesh, with the help of the Toastmasters Hyderabad.

A Gavel club provides students with an opportunity to practice what they learn in speech and English classes. It helps in developing public speaking skills which they might not be able to use as often in a regular classroom.

Said Chandrahas Reddy, the head boy, “The Gavel club’s youth leadership program (YLP) is really a good chance for all the students out there who have the potential but don’t know how to use it.”

In the case of a rehabilitation institution, the Gavel club attempts to provide the individual with an educational program that may help him or her achieve vocational objectives, besides equipping them to make a positive contribution to their community. ;
