Tanikella Award to Indraganti

Poet, critic, writer and scholar Indraganti Srikanth Sarma was awarded the second Tanikella Bharani Sahitya Puraskaram-2012 on the occasion of film actor, writer and director Tanikella Bharani’s birthday at a function organised by Kala Foundation here on Saturday.

 Sarma was rewarded an award of Rs 50,000 and was felicitated by Bharani, poets, writers and film stars.

 Indraganti Srikantha Sarma, a scholar in Sanskrit and Telugu, is a well-known name in Telugu poetry and literary criticism.

 As a programme executive and head of literary section of All India Radio, Vijayawada, he produced many awardwinning programmes.

 He is also a recipient of Free Verse Front and Telugu University Life Time Achievement awards.
