The High Court on Monday dismissed the bail plea of underworld don Abu Salem.
Justice U Durga Prasad Rao was dealing with an appeal by Abu Salem against his conviction by the special CBI court, Hyderabad in a fake passport case. He urged the court to release him on bail till final disposal of his appeal. On November 28, the third Special Court for CBI cases of Hyderabad sentenced Abu Salem to seven years of rigorous imprisonment in the case.
