Upcycle metal caps to make funky magnets with pictures of you and your family. You can also put your friends pictures in them and turn it into a cool gift that they will remember.
What you need
Metal bottle caps, photos, strong magnets about ¾” in diameter or self-adhesive bottle cap magnets
super glue
glitter glue pen
clear nail polish
What you do
l Collect your photos. The final picture will be a 1” diameter, so you can print the pictures from digital files off of your computer. If you’re printing, make sure you use archival-quality paper and that the image fits into a one inch circle.
l Cut circles from the photo into a one inch diameter
l Glue the photo onto the underside of the cap.
l Use the glitter glue pen to squeeze a line of glitter around the edge of the photo. Let it fully dry.
l Brush a coat of clear nail polish on top of the picture and let it dry.
l Attach the magnet to the back of the cap with super glue or use a self adhesive bottle cap magnet, and let it set for 24 hours before you use it. Your photo magnets are now ready.
