President's Police Medal Awarded to 5 Police Officers from Telangana, Andhra

HYDERABAD:  Five police officers from  Telangana and Andhra Pradesh bagged the prestigious President’s Police Medal for distinguished service on the occasion of Republic Day. 

The officers from Telangana are -- Anjani Kumar, Additional Police Commissioner, Law and Order, Hyderabad, N Suryanarayana, DIG, Vigilance and Enforcement, M Siva Prasad, Joint Commissioner of Police, CAR headquarters, Hyderabad.

The officers from AP are KRM Kishore Kumar, Additional Director General of Police, Railways and G Raja Kishore Babu, SP, SIB, Intelligence.

Anjani Kumar has been working as Additional CP, Law and Order, Hyderabad City for almost three years. He worked as IGP, Computers, IGP, Warangal Region, IGP, Grey Hounds, DIG, CI Cell and DIG, Nizamabad Range.

In 2005, Anjani Kumar had been awarded the Indian Police Medal and the United Nations Peace Medal for working at Bosnia in Europe in 1998-99. He has also been awarded Antrik Suraksha Medal (Internal Security Medal) for his contribution in anti-Naxalits operations in 2007. He is presently Additional Director General of Police. Another IPS officer Siva Prasad worked as ADC to former governors - C Rangarajan and Surjeet Singh Barnala. He served as DCP, Task Force, DCP City Security Wing, DCP North Zone Hyderabad, DCP Law and order, DCP traffic in Cyberabad and SP Railways and Kurnool, Joint Commissioner of Police, Law and order in Cyberabad.

Siva Prasad has been in the forefront in the battle against crime, extremism with measures to tackle them.

POLICE MEDALS

Greyhounds DIG Stephen Ravindra, Additional SP Palla Ravinder Reddy and others from Telangana state bagged police medals for meritorious services. In Andhra Pradesh, Pochineni Rameshaiah, SP, RV and EO, Nellore, Bandi Srinivas, Additional SP, Intelligence, Sindhe Rajasekhara Rao, Additional SP, RV and EO, Tirupati and others bagged police medals.
