As a radio jockey

When did it begin:

March 30, 2006. By then I was already an established anchor/compere in the city and the moment I saw the advertisement in the newspaper looking for radio jockeys, I went for the audition. It was a one minute interview which turned into a ten-year rocking career.

What motivates you:

The entertainer in me.

What does it give you:

Sheer joy plus a high that even ten shots of Tequila cannot give!

What kind of effort do you put in:

Waking up at 12 noon, watching a little of Game of Thrones or House of Cards, shopping, listening to music, dancing, running, staying in touch with all celebs, attending parties. That’s a lot of effort, ain’t it.

Current Status:

Too Complicated. Go figure.

What do you want to achieve:

To reach the peaks of entertainment.

As a runner

When it began:

March 2015, when I was chosen to be the Pinkathon ambassador

What motivates you?

The Secunderabad Runners Group - my biggest motivators.

What it gives you?

A runners high.

As a happening girl

When did it begin?

The day I came into this world. Happening is part of my default settings.

What it gives you?

Very little ‘me’ time.

What do you want to achieve?

Maximum ribbon-cutting record.

As a mimicry artiste When it began?

The day I started imitating my mom at school plays and so on..

What it gives you?

It feeds the entertainer in me well.

What effort does it take?

Observing, practicing and concentrating.

As an anchor When it began?

In my teens, at St Ann’s School, Tarnaka.

What it gives you?

The perk of getting paid to talk.

What effort does it take?

Hours of training, researching, rehearsing, make-up, costumes, hair etc.

  • lWhen I was the chosen one by  Pawan Kalyan himself to do his interview in his farmhouse. Not many get this opportunity l  Legendary singer SP Balu appearing on my show and singing a song about me, just for me. He is a great fan of Suryakantham and  Rishyendramani - both of who I imitate pretty well. l On my special non-stop 12-hour RJ marathon.

Three lessons in life you have learnt from three of your role models:

  • Mom: Believe in yourself. l Oprah Winfrey: Think like a queen and a queen is never afraid of failure. Failure is the stepping stone to success. l Louise Hay: You are the Universe, you are the energy. Just be a badass. Go kill it. No place for soft souls.

Three things you think should change in India:

  • Stop peeing in the open, dude.yikes l Yes girls are beautiful, Stop harassment and rapes. l Get health conscious. Stop family packs, guys.

Two times you were so embarrassed that you wanted to roll into a ball and curl under the sofa:

  • l On stage once I forgot to announce something and our Chief Minister calls and tells me, “Don’t worry, Just leave it. It’s okay.”
  • Whenever
  • don’t run and see photographs of my co-runners the next day.
  • What’s on your mind right now and what do you propose to do about it:
  • Act in movies on public and fans’ demand. Grrr.
