HYDERABAD: Justice Suresh Kumar Kait of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday refused to grant anticipatory bail to Lakshmichand Samderiya and his wife, who are the parents of the 13-year-old girl child who died after 61 days of fasting.

The petitioners sought anticipatory bail contending that PS Market police, Secunderabad,  are likely to arrest them. The court was informed that the entire Jain community was shocked with the developments.

The judge said that granting anticipatory bail would not be the right solution. “Let the right message go to the entire community,” the judge remarked.

While refusing to grant relief, the judge also pointed out that the couple should have taken more care regarding the child.
