HYDERABAD: The immersion of Ganesh idols that come to Hussain Sagar lake as part of centralised procession on September 5, which will mark the end of the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, will start at 7 am on the day and will be completed the same day. Normally, Ganesh idol immersion process spills over to next day every year due to the huge volume idols joining the centralised procession.

However, the Bhagyanagar Ustav Samithi and the officials have decided to complete the immersion process on the same day this year, as Pitru Pakshalu will start on September 6. The Khairatabad Ganesh idol too will be immersed on September 5 itself. “We will not allow big vehicles on NTR Marg,” Mahender Reddy said.
