HYDERABAD:  A major fire broke out in a hardware shop in Krishna Nagar, near Yousufguda in the wee hours of Friday. The fire broke out at about 12:30 am at Vasantha hardware shop. The fire spread quickly because most of the goods in the godown were made of plastic, a highly inflammable material. The damage was reportedly estimated at `2 crore.  The fire fighting operations continued till Friday afternoon, an official said. 

Three fire tenders rushed to douse flames at Indira ParkMinutes after its closure, a massive fire broke out at Indira Park on Thursday evening leading to some of the coconut trees in the park to get partially torched. However, no casualties or injuries were reported. Three fire tenders teams from Musheerabad, Secunderabad, and Secretariat - were rushed to the parknear Tank Bund to douse the flames which could be controlled only after about six hours of fire fighting.
