Girl jumps to death upset, as parents object to her love affair

HYDERABAD: A 17-year old girl polytechnic student allegedly jumped to death from her hostel building here today after her parents objected to her being in love with a senior, police said.

The second-year diploma student jumped from the terrace of the hostel at Musheerabad.

She was rushed to a hospital where she succumbed to injuries, they said.

Citing preliminary investigation, Musheerabad Inspector T Srinath Reddy said the girl was in love with a third-year diploma student.

But her parents did not approve of the relationship and today they went to the hostel, packed her belongings and wanted to take her back home, he said.

Upset over this, the girl took the extreme step, the official added.
