HYDERABAD: A fire broke out on the fifth floor of the Sattva Elixir building in Madhapur on Saturday morning around 6 am. Fortunately, firefighters plunged into action and doused the fire within two hours after receiving the information.

The fire department said they received a call at 6.12 am, informing them about the smoke emanating from the upper floors of the building. It is fortunate no casualties were reported in the incident, officials said.

The firefighters used a Bronto Skylift to gain direct access to the fifth floor and douse the fire immediately. The kitchen of the restaurant was completely engulfed in fire. The firefighters doused the fire by 8.50 am, the officials said, adding that it is suspected that the fire might have originated due to an LPG cylinder explosion. Sattva Group spokesperson thanked the fire department and appreciated their efforts in dousing the fire.

“The fire was quickly detected and doused by the well-trained on-site emergency response team,” he said.

“We are currently investigating the cause of the fire and will continue to monitor the situation closely, he added.
