KOCHI: Prof B Madhusoodana Kurup has assumed charge as the first Vice-Chancellor of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS).
He has over 32 years of research and 30 years of teaching experience in Fisheries Sciences in Cochin University of Science and Technology and Kerala Agricultural University.
He was the principal investigator of five international and 14 national research projects sponsored by the European Commission, Indo-Dutch Cooperation programme, NUFFIC, ICAR, DOD, World Bank, DST, MoES, Government of Kerala.
Kurup is a sitting member of the Coastal Zone Management Authority of Kerala for a second term.
