Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Awards for 2014 have been announced. For the first time, jury members declared the award directly.
P S Jayamol, Rajeesh Sarovar, Sajeesh P A Sudhakaran and N K Avanavu Narayanan were the winners under the painting and sculpture category.
K R Babu, Bindi Rajagopal, Sajith Puthukalavattom, Saratchandran P and Shekhar Ayyanthol will get the ‘Honourable Mention Award’. Sumesh K P, Parvathi S Nair (College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram), Prajith E (College of Fine Arts, Thrissur), Sajina V V (S N School, University of Hyderabad) and Ranjith Shivaram (RLV College, Tripunithura) won the awards constituted for art students.
