KOCHI:  The Kerala Congress (Secular) has “expelled” P C George from the party for violating the “norms and regulations of the party and making character assassination and false accusations” on the party members, T S John, its chairman, said here on Wednesday.

The KC (S) was founded by George after his fallout with Kerala Congress (M) chairman K M Mani.

Addressing a news conference here, John said the Left Democratic Front (LDF) did not keep its word of including KC (S)  in the front by January 31.

Stating that KC (S)  would not cooperate with LDF in the upcoming Assembly elections, John said George went ahead with discussions with CPM to join the LDF even after the party decided not to align with the Opposition front. KC (S)  would hold a meeting in 10 days time to decide on its alliance in the Assembly elections. A state committee will be constituted for this purpose, he said.
