KOCHI: IG, Ernakulam Range, S Sreejith assumed office here on Wednesday. His predecessor, Mahipal Yadav, who has been posted as IG, Training, was also present on the occasion.
Sreejith, a 1996 batch IPS officer, was earlier Chief Investigation Officer of State Human Rights Commission. Earlier, he had headed the police operation, which busted the online sex racket following the arrest of ‘Kiss of Love’ activist Rahul Pasupalan and his wife Reshmi Nair. Besides, the police officer had investigated the human trafficking case.
