Kochi to witness dance fusion

The fifth Naatya Kousthubh Nrithyotsav organised by the Satyanjali Academy of Kuchipudi Dance will be held in Kochi on April 28-29.

KOCHI:The 5th Naatya Kousthubh Nrithyotsav organised by the Satyanjali Academy of Kuchipudi Dance will be held in Kochi on April 28-29. Actor KPAC Lalitha who is also the chairman of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy will be the chief guest.

Kuchipudi artist Payal Ramchandani from New Delhi who took part at the International Art and Cultural Foundation in 2016 will perform on the first day.

First Mohiniyattom male dancer, RLV Ramakrishnan, who is currently doing his PHD in Kerala Kalamandalam on the topic ‘male performance in Mohiniyattom’ will also perform.

Bharatnatyam exponent Revathi Srinivasaraghavan from Mumbai who has received several recognitions including being conferred titles such as Shiledar Rashtriyanirmitiche, contributors in nation building 2014 will also take part. Saraswathi, president and founder director who is a noted Kuchipudi dance guru and dental doctor will also perform on April 28. 

On April 29, performances by Bharatnatyam exponent Devi Chandana, Odissi dancer Sanjeev Kumar Jena and Mohniyattom dancer Rekha Raju will be held.
