KOCHI: She went missing from the scene after Life of Josutty and now the vivacious Jyothi Krishna is back in a new role. She will be hosting Laughing Villa Season 2, the fun-filled show that features a total of 30 celebrity kids. “It’s the first time I am anchoring a TV show, so I was a bit tensed in the beginning. But after canning a couple of episodes I felt comfortable and started enjoying it,” says the actor.

The show will have skits and comedy performances by its little participants. Around 30 kids from both small and big screen, including Meenakshi, Gaurav, Varkichan, Akshara, Adarsh, Vishal and Janaki are part of the show. “They will be divided into different teams to find the winners. There will be celebrity guests and stars coming for movie promotions. Guest for the day will comment on the kids’ performance,” she says.

The show promises 60 minute blasts of entertainment where the popular kids will go through various rounds including cinema scoop, emotional drama and special performances.

The kids team is supported by actors Surabhi and Kishor who will present their special skit in the show. “It’s basically a fun-flavoured show and I am not quite into comedy. But here I am not quite involved in the humourous skits or anything. My role is just limited to anchoring the show,” she says.

The first episode of Laughing Villa Season 2 will have Suraj Venjaramoodu as the guest and the show will be aired on Surya TV every Sunday at 8 pm from 2 April 2017.

Jyothi says after Josutty all the characters that came her way were ordinary. “That’s one reason I decided to take a break. And then I was working in Dubai,” she says. Along with the show, Jyothi has also bagged a good role in Kamal’s Aami which stars Manju Warrier in the lead. “In the film I play Malathikutty, Aami’s close friend. I have also signed a couple of films that will be announced soon,” she adds.
