KOCHI: Technopark-based health startup Good Methods Global (GMG) has raised a series-A round funding led by Accel Partners taking the total sum raised from its inception three years ago to $9 million (around Rs 57.6 crore).
It is probably one of the largest early stage investments in Kerala. Good Methods Global was founded three years ago by Abhi Krishna. Arjun Satheesh, K V Jayasooryan and Varun Nelson are its team members. Following the investment, Shekhar Kirani, partner at Accel India will join GMG’s board of directors.
Apart from its office at Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, GMG’s operations are spread across Orlando and Houston in the US.
According to the company's Head of Operations, Arjun Satheesh, the funds will be used to expand its sales, product adoption and engineering and for talent acquisition. The company has developed a cloud-based practice management platform for the health and wellness industry in in the US with prime focus on dentistry. Its clientele includes large dental groups and multi-location practice chains.
Good Methods Global’s practice management software facilitates automation of business functions, patient engagement, business intelligence tools, enterprise reporting and data analytics. GMG claims this is the first investment in Kerala by the Silicon Valley-based venture capital fund Accel Partners.
The company has plans to double the staff strength from the current 100 in a year. The company hires young talent from across India who are paired with specialists with healthcare and technology experience. The company is planning both vertical and horizontal expansion. Earlier the company had received funding from Kerala-based Konglo ventures.
