Music band to charm Kochi with a bouquet of evergreen Malayalam songs

The music band S P Orchestration dished out a charming performance at the weekly ‘Arts and Medicine’ show organised by the Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) at the Government General Hospital.

KOCHI: The music band S P Orchestration dished out a charming performance at the weekly ‘Arts and Medicine’ show organised by the Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) at the Government General Hospital on Wednesday. The 197th edition of the programme saw singers Eroor Subramanian, Sudharsnan K K, Sukrutha Unni and Abhirami Prince of ‘S P Orchestration’ , Tripunithura, offering the patients a bouquet of evergreen Malayalam songs.

Subramanian, the lead singer of the band, is also the secretary of ‘NANMA’ (National Association of Malayalam Artists), Tripunithura area.Sudharsnan, an employee of the National Insurance, is a singer in the band as well as the regional president of PuKaSa-Purogamana Kala Sahitya Sangham, Tripunithura. Sukrutha, one of the three female vocalists of the band, is the Rationing Inspector at Ernakulam Civil Supplies. Abhirami, an engineering graduate and now working in a private engineering firm, is also the part of the band.

“The happiness and contentment writ large on the faces of each one in the crowd is the reward which is above everything else that one can receive for the efforts at the show,” Subramanian said.
This week was an exclusive edition of Malayalam evergreen songs. Subramanian began with the rendition of the song, ‘Chandrakalabham Chaarthi’ , from the 1975 movie Kottaaram Vilkkaanundu, originally sung by K J Yesudas.
