THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Aptara, a digital publishing solutions company, has announced expansion of its Thiruvananthapuram operations to accommodate its corporate growth. Aptara’s new Technopark office will be home to 1,200 employees, 600 of which are new positions.

Aptara provides content creation, design and production services to 9 of the 10 largest publishers in the world, including Mcgraw-Hill, Pearson, Thomson Reuters and Grupo Planeta.

“As the demand for mobile devices and e-books skyrocket, so does publishers’ need for digital content production expertise,” said Dev Ganesan, president and CEO of Aptara.

Headquartered in the US, Aptara employs 5,000 personnel in India. It has offices in New Delhi, Dehradun, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram. Opened in 2009, the office in the city now has 500 employees.

The new office at Leela Infopark, Technopark, will be inaugurated on Thursday at 10.30 am by DGP Jacob Punnoose.
