The Forest and Wild Life Department is organising a forest-wildlife photography competition on the sidelines of Wildlife Week celebrations.

Photographs taken in the forests in Kerala on the themes forest and wildlife may be sent.

The prints should be in 30x20 cm size. Entries that get first, second and third places would receive Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 1,500 respectively.

A person can send more than one entry. Along with the photograph, send a brief description on the details regarding the camera, place where the photograph was taken, time and date, negative/CD of the photograph, telephone number and full address of the photographer.

No markings or address shall be inscribed on the photograph. Officials with the Forest Department should not participate in the competition. Entries may be sent to the address, Deputy Conservator of Forest (Wild Life), Forest Headquarters, Vazhuthacaud, Thiruvananthapuram. Entries shall be received till September 30.
