VACB probe ordered against Collector, Crayons vice- president

The Vigilance judge on Thursday ordered a probe against District Collector K N Satheesh and the vice- president of Crayons Advertising Limited, an event management company, for the alleged corruption involved in the conduct of Grand Kerala Shopping Festival 2009-2010.  Vigilance Judge John K Illikkadan ordered the probe on a petition filed by V Hareesh of Neeleswaram.  He alleged that both of them had misappropriated the funds released by the Tourism Department for the conduct of the festival. K N Satheesh was the director of the festival that year. The court asked the VACB Director to conduct a preliminary inquiry and submit a report within three months.
