Youth accused in murder case held

A youth, an accused in a murder case, was arrested by the Kadakkavoor Police on Friday.

Hitler, 27, of Perumkulam Mission colony, Manambur, Kavalayur, was the arrested. He was held in connection with the murder of Shyju, 27, who was also residing in the colony.

On April 19 a dead body was found by the police in a decomposed state on the shore of Mananakk lake. In the investigation that followed it was found that the body was that of Shyju and the death was a case of murder. 

The police said that Hitler had previous enmity towards Shyju which was the provocation for the crime. The incident happened on April 15. 

“On that day the accused brought Shyju to Manannak to booze and pushed him into the lake when the latter was in an inebriated state. He then dragged the dead boy to the shore and abandoned it there,” said Circle Inspector of police Kadakkavoor Muhammed Riyas.

Police had found Hitler’s election identity card from the crime scene which helped them to nab the accused.

Hitler, who fled the place came to Perumpuzha on Friday, landed in the police net in the morning. Police said that he admitted to the crime on questioning. He was presented before the court.
