THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister Mahesh Sharma released the logo for the CBSE State Youth Festival here on Thursday. 

He said that extracurricular activities were a prerequisite to widen the children’s mental horizon. Around 300 CBSE schools will participate. Those who emerge victorious in 144 different tasks can take part in state-level competition. The state-level winners will then take part in the national competition which will be in Delhi. HRD Minister Smriti Irani decided to conduct nation-level youth festival after the lines of the Kerala model.
