Thiruvananthapuram shadow police nabs man with 8 kg of ganja

The city shadow police on Saturday nabbed a 44-year-old ganja dealer, Rajan of Parassala, for allegedly possessing 8 kg of ganja.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The city shadow police on Saturday nabbed a 44-year-old ganja dealer, Rajan of Parassala, for allegedly possessing 8 kg of ganja.

The Vattiyoorkavu police have recorded his arrest. According to the police, the accused landed in police net following a special drive ‘School Safety’ which is being initiated by city police commissioner P Prakash. Schools and other educational institutions are under the surveillance of shadow police to prevent supply of ganja and other narcotic substances among students.

Following a tip off, the police held the mediator of supply with ganja. Upon interrogation, he revealed the substances were being transported from Theni and Cumbum in Tamil Nadu through his network.
