THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: When southern districts of Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam showed a decrease in the spread of infectious diseases, the districts in Malabar region showed a northward trend.
With the two districts making a tremendous leap in containing the diseases, the Health Department has decided to take forward the initiatives in the other districts.

A decision in this regard was taken at the evaluation  meeting of Arogya Jagratha programme held here on Wednesday.

Health Secretary Rajeev Sadanandan and heads of various departments such as LSGD, Education, Health, Kudumbashree, Suchitwa Mission, Indian Systems of Medicine and Medical Education.

As part of Arogya Jagratha, several programmes such as awareness classes, house visits and destroying mosquito breeding sources will be held.
