VIJAYAWADA: Ace director SS Rajamouli will be going to London to interpret Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s vision for the Legislative Assembly to London-based Fosters + Partners, which is designing buildings for Amaravati. On Thursday, a day after his discussions with Naidu, Rajamouli took to Twitter to clarify his role in the development of Amaravati.
He clarified that he was not appointed consultant, designer or supervisor as was reported by some sections of the media. “The news is not true,” he tweeted. Stating that Foster+Partners were a renowned architectural firm, he opined the designs submitted by it were “first class” and added that Naidu and his team were very happy with the designs. The director said all he was doing was interpreting the vision of the Chief Minister, who wants the Assembly’s design to be much more iconic, to Foster + Partners. “Hope this small contribution of mine is some kind of help in that epic project..:),” he tweeted.
