Germany is a hot cake for those aspiring to pursue PhD or research, so grab your application forms before the deadline. In order to facilitate students in this regard, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers information about higher education and research in Germany. It also has a range of scholarships available for Indian students, scholars and academicians.

DAAD India Annual Research Scholarship: The long-term scholarship programme for PhD and PhD-registered candidates have been announced for 2016.

Research Grants — Bi-nationally Supervised Doctoral Degrees (formerly called Sandwich Model Scholarships for PhD-registered scholars).

Although engineering is popular among foreign students, Germany today faces a large gap in its job market, when it comes to trained engineers.
